On the way home from church tonight, we heard this on the radio, so I googled it as soon as possible and found the relevant YouTube video. I haven't seen it posted on my friendslist yet, so I don't think I'm duplicating anyone. Enjoy. ^^

The left side of my hair is really adorably wavy right now, cute like my XBox 360 avatar's hairstyle, and I have no idea how I managed to get it that way. The right side is just kinda blah.

Apparently the games on Gradius Collection are arcade versions. That is awesome, because holy shit, it's hard as hell. Also, all my mad skills have vanished utterly. This must be rectified.

I need to sleep tonight, for reals, or I'm gonna fall asleep tomorrow at work.

In conclusion: I am going to play leekspin all fucking day at work tomorrow, to see who I can drive batty. Besides myself.

I love me some fucking gradius, and now I have it on my PSP's mem stick. I approve of this bullshit.

I have read through an absurd number of Valdemar books in the past few weeks, and I am not even up to "modern" times. I think I am just before them, though.

I actually would kind of like to make a set of valdemar factions for Dominions 3.

It would fit absurdly well, right down to demon summoning, super awesome named heroes, and special faction units that are totally awesome.

Man, I want more SRT games. So bad. If only the licensing weren't so totally fucked in the US.

I don't think I'm even going to wait to go to bed tonight, I'm just going to lay down and read me some books.

The snowstorm did, in fact, set records. Officially, 21.1 inches fell at the airport. However, it stopped Saturday night, which meant that we got everything dug out and cleaned up on Sunday (with help from the neighbors), which meant that I'm here at work today. :/ Drive in wasn't too bad, although one of the onramps I use really needed to be cleaned up (or cleaned at all).

It woudl have been nice if work had closed for the day, but since it's open I guess not having to take extra days off isn't so bad, as I'm going to be needing them in the future.

Now, off to get a swine flu shot! Fun times.

So Schneeb made the first post at the North community and we're back on the game.

Also, I am playing K, and trying to figure out this teamup system, and it's not working so well. Anybody got a faq?

I hate trying to carry large loads of groceries. I have to do everything in one trip, or there's a good chance what I didn't take in first will disappear.

I found partial translation patches for SRT W and K, which make the going a little easier. Okay, a LOT easier, in the case of K, where the seishin descriptions are translated.

The next four days of work are going to be boring as fuck, we're between major projects with little to do but minor bugfixes, and all kinds of people are going to be gone for the holidays.

Fuck holidays.

Having managed to keep myself awake this long is nothing short of a miracle. I havve fuck-all planned for this weekend, I am pretty much just going to play games and read books. I am crazy enough that I am trying to play SRT W in moon runes. that's not going so well.

In potentially vast quantities. (Well, vast for Maryland. You Midwesterners are probably laughing at it. Although I'm thinking that once you get up to a foot, even they start to blink a little.)

As lirazel often says, it's not the snow so much as having to be an adult in snow, which means that you can't just hunker up somewhere until it all goes away. And around here, it happens just often enough to be a major problem but not often enough that people learn how to deal with it. (And even if it did happen more often, I'm not sure people would learn anyway. People can't seem to figure out how to drive in the freakin' rain, and it rains a lot around here.)

It is entirely possible that I could be holed up until Monday, and I'm not looking forward to having to deal with travel and digging things out. Wasn't planning on missing work Monday and kinda need to not in order to make vacation/sick time work out properly. We'll see.

Why couldn't this have happened last weekend? I didn't have that many plans last weekend.

Edit: I plan to walk to and from the Metro in a dress and hiking boots. Eccentricity means never having to apologize for sensible footwear.

Spending all day chasing bugs that I can't even replicate is incredibly frustrating, and this is only compounded when my computer intermittently freezes because the network is fucked to hell because people are DOING MAINTENANCE WORK IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FUCKING WORKDAY.

Managed to distract myself until eight, and that means I can go to bed now. I actually slept reasonably well last night, and didn't wake up too early, so maybe tonight will also be good. Hahahahahahahaha, man, I crack myself up.

Oh well.

Woke up at 3 this morning, couldn't go back to sleep. Ended up being kept at work until 5. I didn't want to cancel game today, but I can't keep my fucking eyes open.

Fuck this shit.

In other news, whoever put the voodoo curse on the Red Wings this season? Please stop. It worked really well. Seven guys injured is bordering on the completely freaking ridiculous. -_-;

It may very well have been an octopus, actually. Can't blame the guys for wanting revenge for having their brethren tossed on the ice.

Editedit: Am cheered by finding a massive depository of Wings icons and animated gifs over at freebread. Who *doesn't* need an animated gif of Darren McCarty beating the crap out of Claude Lemieux? ;p (I can say that twelve and a half years later knowing that no serious injuries were incurred during the subsequent donnybrook.)

So maybe my first experiment with Wave will end up being North moving there? Who the fuck knows. It's pretty good bets that schneeb doesn't have four or five hours every thursday night anymore, babies are like that.

Anyway, there's a pretty nice looking battle map widget, plus a dice roller, so hell, maybe it'll work reasonably well.

The real hangups are 1) getting Zeg to pay a modicum of attention to basically anything that isn't a game actively running in IRC, and 2) Maha and Holmes not being on most of the time.

Oh well, we'll see.

In conclusion: I hate yearly reviews. Is there really any purpose to them besides justifying it when a company wants to fire you with cause?

Christmas tree up and mostly decorated. Presents mostly done except for getting a little something else for my brother's girlfriend. I have things in mind, just need to pick them up. Also need to buy cards for people. But things are fairly well in hand.

In other news, I think my gallbladder has violated our mutual nonagression treaty for the last time.

Very little to do today, either. Annoying, but whatever. I have no fucking idea what I'm going to do for the week of vacation scheduled between christmas and new year's. It's gonna be like 10 days off in a row, for 4 days of vacation time. I'm going to go bugfuck insane

D&D fell through for today, due to christmas stuff. I am not surprised, but eh. It's a long, boring day with naught to do but read and play games, and nothing seems able to hold my attention for more than a few minutes.

Today went surprisingly well. I had both remaining rough edges smoothed off the mpeg2 module before my partner in stupid even got to work, and spent the rest of the day taking care of shit like code reviews and government paperwork bullshit.
